Oil paintings on canvas, simple images, powerful strokes, marked colours: this is the pure expressive, immediate and symbolic force of the Caucasian Lila Dapanchuli (her stage name), a charming and eclectic woman, poet and traditional dancer, who with the painting, “without any pretension” as she herself says, relaxes and reflects, expressing one’s soul and feelings. You paint for yourself and for free for your loved ones but, after the appreciation of the late Philippe Daverio, the volcanic Vittorio Sgarbi and the critic Paolo Manazza, it is said that a well-known American businessman, often in Lugano and Milan for work, has offered ten thousand dollars for the Caucasus Sun, an offer refused and, also for this reason, prices are growing strongly. But under the mysterious pseudonym we have discovered that, for ten years, the thirty-seven-year-old Georgian noblewoman Lali Panchulidze, well-known journalist of Kartuli TV and Milanese PR, has been hiding: “I have always painted, only for personal pleasure, without any pretension or ambition, let alone commercial I paint memories, dreams, desires. My teacher was the Lombard painter Maurizio Calciolari, he is a true well-known and awarded artist”.
