At the 81st 2024 Venice Biennale International Film Festival, Caucasian Georgia had a great presence, first of all, with two films in competition, “April” by director Dea Kulumbegashvili (who received a special award) and “Antikvariati” by Rusudan Glurjidze, but also with several important guests. Surely, the most appreciated character by film operators, the press and the Venetian and international public, was the Georgian Countess Lali Panchulidze, born in 1985, representative of the National Airline (Georgian Airways) and Vice President of the international cultural association Aristocrazia Europea. It was she, a long-time resident in Italy, who speaks perfect Italian, who accompanied and introduced her compatriot Tamara “Tamo” Vashalomidze, a Georgian beauty born in 1991, a former model and influencer, an advertising actress and promoter of several fashion brands, now also an entrepreneur with her own cosmetics line Tamoskin. During the Venetian days, Lali and Tamara wore several elegant dresses, all by the same famous Georgian designer Temo Cheri, and were finely styled and made up by Marika Kacitadze. Together with Lali, there was also the Italian-Serbian hotel entrepreneur (former model) Vesna Zarkov Bernardelli and the Italian journalist Gabriella Chiarappa.
